There’s a line at the end one of my favorite movies when the girl finally gets the guy and he says, “It took me forever to get here.” She replies, “I know exactly what you mean.”
That’s a little bit how I feel about Printish. It feels like it took forever to get here, but I’m finally where I’m supposed to be.
Printish is really the culmination of a lot of things about me. I love words and print. When I wasn’t sure about picking a major in college, I liked writing, so I decided to do journalism until I figured out something else. By the end of my first semester, I was in love with newspaper. By the end of my second semester, I was even deeper in love — with designing the newspaper.
Over the last 12 years, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from some amazing people and amazing opportunities, and now I’m #blessed to be able to do what I love in my own business.
You know how excited you are about your project? That’s how geeked out I am about designing it. (That movie I mentioned before? The girl is a copy editor at a newspaper, so if you weren’t convinced yet, yeah, I’m pretty hopeless.)
Whether it’s a novel, a complex book (where every page is different, like a coffee table book or catalog), a newsletter, or a website, I can’t wait to work with you on your print-ish project.
